spring's firmly in control
down here in the lowlands
watching a ball roll

in the cricket match before me
on a sunny afternoon
April's last denoument
May is coming soon

westcoast inspirations
sky down to the sea
nature's celebrations
are all around me

tree covered soaring mountains
where bears and ravens live
waterfalls like fountains
of life which give and give

electricity so that I can
write this simple rhyme
about what I see in this land
in this place and in this time...
