when the Sun has disappeared
at night to be unseen
water flowing from above
will happen as we dream

as we slip away from Earth
and all that we believe
evaporates from consciousness
tumbling rain will weave

a tapestry from droplets
falling through the air
ephemeral in streetlight
patterns everywhere

out of sight and overnight
as an east wind blows
rain will clean the atmosphere
as it comes then goes...
